The down pipe has a stainless steel flex section to absorb engine vibrations, however, our engineers found, that since this pipe was significantly larger and more stiff than the original factory downpipe, that under hard use the welds can fatigue. Our engineers found that by adding our poly engine mount (part# 822506) the life of the welds was greatly extended. It is highly recommended that this mount be included in the installation. The downpipe is intended for race applications and off road use only!
